Digital Inclusion Gloucestershire Initiative (DIGI)
We are proud to be part of the Digital Inclusion Gloucestershire Initiative (DIGI), a countywide partnership of eight community organisations working together to reduce digital exclusion across Gloucestershire.
As more everyday services move online, DIGI helps people develop the skills and confidence they need to use technology, access essential services and stay connected.
Support is available through Digi Hubs, Digital Champions and Digi@Home.
Digi Hubs
free, friendly digital support
Digi Hubs provide free, friendly digital support in trusted community settings across Gloucestershire.
People can get practical help with smartphones, tablets and computers, using email and apps, accessing online services and the NHS App, completing forms, searching for employment and staying safe online.
In 2025, Digi Hubs supported over 5,000 people across Gloucestershire, with more than half returning for further support.
Digital Champions Network (DCN)
Digital Champions are staff and volunteers who provide patient, practical support to help people build their digital skills and confidence by helping them understand how to use technology for themselves, supporting greater confidence and independence online. The DCN is a free network for anyone providing digital support in Gloucestershire, delivering training, arranging meet-ups and providing opportunities for peer-to-peer support. Working together across Gloucestershire
DIGI brings together eight community organisations: FVAF, Creative Sustainability, GL11 Community Hub, Brockworth Link, GL Communities, Springbank Community Group, Cotswold Friends and The Churn Community Hub.
Together, we combine trusted local support with shared knowledge, resources and expertise to help more people benefit from the digital world.
Our role in DIGI
FVAF supports people across the Forest of Dean through local Digi Hubs and opportunities for Digital Champions, providing free, practical support that responds to the needs of our local communities.
